Removed French quote

[edit]

I removed the French quote in the art section, considering that there's little need for a French quote in English Wikipedia: somebody needs to accurately translate it. 75.185.61.82 05:01, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There's always call for germane quotes for borrowed terms, but you're right that it should come with a translation. — LlywelynII 09:42, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Blonde hair

[edit]

What is the connection between blue hour and blond hair? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.8.24.139 (talk) 18:34, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There isn't one. — LlywelynII 09:42, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@LlywelynII: For context: At the time the IP asked this question, the article said: "The time is considered special because of the quality of the light at this time of day (also in photography; it is considered especially flattering for people with blond hair) and because in the summer, this is often when the smell of the flowers is at their strongest." --Florian Blaschke (talk) 12:33, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Latitude differences

[edit]

"(typically the period is about 40 minutes in length)" - This would theoretically vary based on which latitude you're at and thus how fast the sun is setting. Someone who knows more about the times or wants to calculate the geometry should probably add in "at a latitude of [???] degrees" to make the statement more accurate and account for variations based on geolocation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bush6984 (talkcontribs) 18:12, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
