1 - Well written
[edit]1a - Clear and concise prose
[edit]I recommend copyediting the entire article. Much of the writing seems very stilted and awkward to read, and there are some examples I might have missed or was not sure how to address. I do make suggestions down below, but I implore you to improve the article further if possible. Lazman321 (talk) 07:18, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
- "...sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle..." to "...sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart and their cousin Trea Swindle..."
- "...on the streets of New Orleans,[1][2] and eventually..." to "...on the streets of New Orleans,[1][2] before eventually..."
- "...music festivals around Louisiana, and in Innsbruck, Austria." to "...music festivals in Innsbruck, Austria, and around Louisiana."
- "...Jeff Glixman, who also began..." to "...Jeff Glixman, who began..."
- "This was followed by a standalone single titled 'Jesus & Alcohol' in 2020..." to "The same year, they released a standalone single, 'Jesus & Alcohol'..."
- "...on guitar. They also shot a music video for the song, in which Gibbons plays the role of a pastor." to "...on guitar and was supported by a music video, in which Gibbons portrays a pastor."
- "Additionally, they sang background vocals..." to "Additionally, Chapel Hart sang background vocals..."
- "...for their 2021 "Next Women of Country" campaign,[10] which promotes new and upcoming female country music artists.[11]" - I think you meant it to describe the annual event overall, but the way this sentence is structured, it seems like this is using present tense to describe a past event. I'm not sure how to fix this while preserving the information.
- "This was followed in 2021 by the group's next single, 'I Will Follow'." to "The same year, Chapel Hart released their next single, 'I Will Follow'."
- "...stated of the album that 'Every..." to "stated of the album, "Every..."
- "Danica told the blog Taste of Country that Chapel Hart initially turned down the offer, but ultimately agreed to appear on the show after being contacted by the same agent a number of times." - This sentence in particular is incredibly stilted, but I'm not sure how to condense it exactly.
- "...only the second time in the show's history that this was done." to "...the second time in the show's history."
- "They are also featured..." to "They were also featured..."
- "...in January 2023. The trio wrote the song with..." to "...in January 2023, co-written with..."
- "They also released another song titled 'Welcome to Fist City', an answer song to Loretta Lynn's 1968 single 'Fist City'." to "Another 2023 song, 'Welcome to Fist City', was an answer song to Loretta Lynn's 1968 single 'Fist City'."
- "...a concert tour which included a performance..." to "...a concert tour, including a performance..."
- "...in January 2024. There, they performed..." to "...in January 2024, where they performed..."
- "Chapel Hart is also making their first debut at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. They will be performing on April 25." to "Chapel Hart will also making their first debut at Jazz Fest in New Orleans on April 25."
1b - Adherence to the Manual of Style
[edit]WP:GACR requires compliance with MOS:LEAD, MOS:LAYOUT, MOS:WTW, MOS:FICTION, and MOS:LIST. Lazman321 (talk) 07:18, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
- LEAD: Appears to summarize the key aspects of the article. The length doesn't bother me given the article's length. I do feel the last sentence should be removed since the song's popularity is not mentioned in the body of the article.
- LAYOUT: Is there some way to make the subdivisions of the music career section more natural. As is, the section starts with a few paragraphs not under a section followed by a single-paragraph section followed by a sudden year-range section. Also, I recommend combining the last two paragraphs, as they are too short by themselves.
- WTW: I didn't come across any words to "watch" in this article.
- FICTION: Inapplicable.
- LIST: The discography section, where the list would be, is standard for band albums.
2 - Verifiable with no original research
[edit]2a - Identifiable list of references
[edit]List of references follows relevant guidelines. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 01:09, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
2b - Reliable sources
[edit]I've started discussions on both WP:RSN and WT:ALBUM for consultation on some sources I don't recognize and could not find prior discussion on. Based on my responses, pretty much all the sources used currently are reliable. I will note for the record that these two appear to be press releases due to similar wording appearing in other websites, which means that they are primary sources. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 07:18, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
- I was going to comment that Southern Living is a long running magazine and should be acceptable as a source, but it seems this has already been addressed. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 19:36, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
2c - No original research
[edit]Spotchecks here. Nothing too crazy. Lazman321 (talk) 01:09, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
2d - No copyright violations
[edit]During spotchecks, I didn't notice any instance of close paraphrasing. The copyright detector apparently has an astounding score of 90.3%. However, I seriously doubt it's you or Wikipedia that is committing the plagiarism. The article when created has specific language that is still used in the article today, while the website supposedly plagiarized also uses similar wording but refers to events that would have happened after the article was created. As a result, I doubt this article has plagiarism. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 01:09, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
3 - Broad in its coverage
[edit]3a - Main aspects
[edit]The main aspects of this band, such as their releases, their style, and the appearance on AGT, are all covered. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 20:44, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
3b - Focused
[edit]Doesn't stray off topic nor go into excessive detail about the band. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 20:05, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
4 - Neutral
[edit]Opinions are attributed in text to reviewers, and the article overall doesn't seem overly promotional. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 20:42, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
5 - Stable
[edit]Only two edits since October and no discussion on the talk page indicates this article is very stable. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 01:11, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
6 - Illustrated by media
[edit]6a - Copyright tags
[edit]The one image in this article has a valid copyright tag. ✓ Pass Lazman321 (talk) 01:17, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
6b - Relevant media

7 - Verdict
[edit]@TenPoundHammer: Sorry for the delay. I'll be placing this article On hold for seven days. Lazman321 (talk) 07:20, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Lazman321: I think I got all the copy editing in that you asked for. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 22:35, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
- @TenPoundHammer: Before I can pass this review, can you address the comments in the spotchecks? Lazman321 (talk) 20:09, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Lazman321: I think I got the others. Can you explain what you mean by
I've noticed a conflict between the sources. The AllMusic verifies the preceding statement, but this source says that Devynn joined years after the band initially formed.
I don't see what info is being conflicted here. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 21:59, 17 January 2025 (UTC)- AllMusic claims that the sisters and Devynn formed the band together in 2014, but the Picayune Item claims that Devynn joined years later. Oh well, I think what's written in the article itself is fine. I also noticed that not all my concerns were addressed, but I went ahead and edited the article myself to resolve them.
