The source (or refs) for claiming that the Rabbi's parents immigrated from Iran is missing. In particular, it isn't true about his mother, Tova, since, as far as I know (from 'Arrutz 7' channel & more), she immigrated from Aleppo (in today's Syria), and met her husband-to-be, Ben-TZion, in Israel.
