Machine fault diagnosis

[edit]

I just came across Machine fault diagnosis, and these appear to be very similar ideas. Can these articles be productively merged? 70.247.164.231 (talk) 23:08, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I think they ought to. EverGreg (talk) 06:44, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

FDI and FDIR

[edit]

I think the redirection from FDIR to this page is wrong. An FDIR is something specific and is a superset of an FDI. It stand for Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery. That is, FDI is a part of the FDIR. MicheleDorigatti (talk) 15:58, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

MicheleDorigatti The lead sentence describes FDIR but fault recovery is not mentioned again. Either the article should be renamed and relevant content added, or the lead corrected and inappropriate redirects fixed. The second option would apparently require an article on fault recovery, so first option is preferred as simpler and less work. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 08:19, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
