The result of the move request was: moved. There seems to be opposition to moving this to solely Kappi (what should be done with that page after this move is another question, which I will take to RFD as it seems very mixed), but I see consensus for the alternative title of Kappi Plateau. • Support as the only topic that's just "Kappi". The surname has the diacritical mark, and there is only one person with that surname. Hatnotes are adequate disambiguation here; parenethetical dismabiguation is not needed. Mdewman6 (talk) 07:28, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
• Oppose as it appears that Kappi Plateau and Kappi Nature Reserve are more commonly found in English sources, and would support a move to either of those, since that is more of the commonname. With regards to what we should do with Kappi, I would be in weak support of a DAB page, or perhaps hatnotes as per WP:PT2. The page views is difficult because this page was just created so it skews the page views as a result of heavy editing when the article is created, and makes it difficult to see how many people are actually looking for this article.TiggerJay (talk) 00:55, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

• Comment: In the event that this move request fails, Kappi should be converted into a disambiguation page instead of a redirect to Pekko Käppi. The musician's surname is Käppi, not Kappi. In contrast, the name of this protected area really is Kappi. JIP | Talk 23:17, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
• Move to Kappi Plateau, as this seems to be the COMMONNAME. Thank you to Tiggerjay for pointing this out. I couldn't find his alternative "Kappi Nature Reserve" used by any sources, but "Kappi Plateau" is used in the VOA article cited by this article, UNESCO, and some other sites [1][2]. The Indonesian sources cited simply say "Kappi", "Kappi Zone", or "Kappi, Gayo Lues, Aceh", none of which are great alternatives. I also oppose moving this article to Kappi, which should be either a disambiguation page or a redirect to Kepi (Käppi is the Swiss name of the hat, and also the origin of the French term "Kepi").   For those concerned about the capital "Plateau", I think this is justified as a proper name; follows prevalent use in sources (all of those I found, linked above); and is consistent with others like Tibetan Plateau and Swiss Plateau. Toadspike [Talk] 20:12, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
