「G.I.ジョー:漆黒のスネークアイズ」は2021年10月22日に全米公開される予定。
[I think it was a turning point where I can finally say that "I became a stuntman". In fact, you need recommendations from three action directors (to debut as a stuntman), but I was able to get in through a backdoor entrance thanks to the recommendation of action choreographer Stephen Tung. It was like a backdoor admission. / The latest installment of the Rurouni Kenshin film series, titled Rurouni Kenshin: The Final, in which he (Tanigaki) served as an action director, will be released nationwide in Japan on 23 April. Besides, Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning will have its nationwide release on 4 June. Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, another film he (Tanigaki) worked on, is scheduled for a release in the United States on 22 October 2021.]
Actual birth year
[edit]If his actual birth year is confirmed to be 1958, why is the text prefer the non-actual and untrue 1954 year while the actual year is relegated to a footnote? Neocorelight (Talk) 00:28, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Neocorelight, that is a good question. I have given this some thought while writing the article as well. My rationale is that he only mentioned being born in 1958 in the Jet Magazine interview, while the preponderance of evidence indicates he was born in 1954. For instance, primary sources like the Golden Horse Awards profile, secondary RS like the Mirror Media article, and most importantly his official identification documents (including his Hong Kong identity card according to the Jet Magazine source), all list his birth year as 1954. Since the 1954 date has legal standing and is more widely used, I believe it would be more appropriate to use that as the primary birth year, with a footnote referencing the 1958 date. —Prince of Erebor(The Book of Mazarbul) 04:41, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- This is one of those circumstances where I felt unsatisfied with how Wikipedia presents information. Neocorelight (Talk) 06:25, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Neocorelight: I have to disagree. As mentioned previously, 1954 is the legally recognized birth year. This means he is currently 70 years old in all official and governmental records, not 66 as the 1958 date would suggest. I believe the footnote I added already provides sufficient information for readers regarding the single interview listing the 1958 birth year. In fact, including that detail is a step forward, as it provides the most complete information that readers without conducting thorough research may not be aware of. (I mean this discrepancy is not addressed at all in the respective articles of the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Wikipedias, where they simply listed 1954 per official records.) I agree to disagree on how the birth year is preferably presented, but I do not agree that the information is not well-delivered in this scenario. —Prince of Erebor(The Book of Mazarbul) 07:16, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
