Wii Series
[edit]Isn't this a part of the Wii Series? (rct2guy 02:00, 24 August 2007 (UTC))
- Theres absolutely nothing here to conferm wether this is part of the wii series or not Richardson j 01:40, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- According to Gamespot it is being developed by Nintendo. (c-o-n-f-i-r-m. confirm.) --Twbtg2 (talk) 21:59, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Could Wii Chess really be considered a true installment of the so-called Wii Series? Its presence seems contrary to what the other games are trying to demonstrate (ie the kind of gameplay possible using the Wii Remote), and its not even called Wii Chess in Japan. North American Release
[edit]Anyone have any idea when (if ever) this will be released in North America? I love Chess and I love Wii, so I would really love to find out this is going to be released here! 99.233.54.173 (talk) 01:48, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- I think I read that it wasn't going to be released. There really isn't much point of a chess game on a Wii. Bubba73 (talk), 02:14, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- Oh well. Thanks for the quick response. 99.233.54.173 (talk) 17:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- If you want a good chess program, I would suggest buying a version of Chessmaster over Wii Chess, unless you really need a console version to play on your TV for some reason. It's a hell of a lot more comprehensive and has a lot more features than Wii Chess. The most recent PC version (Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition) is being sold on Amazon for $15, and older editions (which are pretty much just as good) are even cheaper (Chessmaster 10th Edition is under $10). Or if you've got a DS or PSP, even that version (Chessmaster: The Art of Learning) would be a better value. (DT29 (talk) 01:32, 21 March 2009 (UTC))

Drive-by comment
[edit]This seems suspicious. Why both of this account reviewing each other always? Sergecross73 A User ignored your advice from its talk page. 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 01:20, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Boneless Pizza!, Well, I asked Panini to request the GA before. This isn’t anything suspicious or anything, I expanded the Wii Chess article 2x and improved it from once a stubby article to a GA nominee.
- Me and sergecross’s conversation was about the Nintendo Switch GAN and how I wasn’t allowed to nominate it since I wasn’t a huge contributor. For the Wii Chess Article, I make up half of the total contributions there. TzarN64 (talk) 01:27, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, my bigger issue was that Tzar wasn't a significant contributor in the last one, which at least isn't an issue here. I am disappointed that Freedom isn't slowing down on GA reviews like I asked, and I don't think it's particularly a good idea for two inexperienced editors to be collaborating on the GA process like this, but there's technically not anything preventing it. - It's not about the contributions, but rushing to nominate article to GAN. Additionally, the reviewer just noticed a single mistake then thought immediately that "The article meets the criteria after all corrections." Huh? I apologize for being rude, but what's the point of GA icon if the article doesn't read good. Nominating that Wii U gamepad for GAR later. 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 01:37, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- Agreed that this article is not even close to GA status. The reception section isn't even written in paragraph form. I strongly oppose it being passed in its current state. Sergecross73 msg me 01:42, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Boneless Pizza!, what’s wrong with the Wii U GamePad article? It’s fine to me. TzarN64 (talk) 02:08, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

- I'm not a sock of @TzarN64. I'm not even interested in these stuff. She requested me to do it. 🗽Freedoxm🗽(talk · contribs) 02:13, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
