Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Marian Anderson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orchestra Hall. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:08, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Susie Rayos Marmon

[edit]

On 31 August 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Susie Rayos Marmon, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Laguna Pueblo educator Susie Rayos Marmon was the inspiration for a character in her grandniece Leslie Marmon Silko's book Storyteller? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Susie Rayos Marmon. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Susie Rayos Marmon), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Your GA nomination of Marian Anderson

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Marian Anderson you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Maile66 -- Maile66 (talk) 18:00, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ahsoka Dillard: this looks good. Only one item needs attending to. The Awards and Honors section needs an individual citation next to each item. Even if you found those awards on the same source, please place a citation next to each item. Thanks, and get back to me. — Maile (talk) 18:34, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Marian Anderson

[edit]

The article Marian Anderson you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Marian Anderson for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Maile66 -- Maile66 (talk) 21:27, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maile66, Thank you! My first! Ahsoka Dillard (talk) 21:43, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for submitting a QPQ review with this nomination, although you are not required to as you have less than 5 DYK credits. In future, please be sure to do a review that explicitly confirms that the five main DYK criteria have been met. An optional Reviewer's Template is located above the edit window. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 20:23, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Marian Anderson

[edit]

On 7 November 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Marian Anderson, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that African-American contralto Marian Anderson (pictured) was denied permission by the Daughters of the American Revolution to sing at Constitution Hall in 1939, prompting thousands of its members to resign? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Marian Anderson. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Marian Anderson), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. inspirational women

Thank you for quality articles about women inspiring others, especially minorities, such as Marian Anderson, Asako Hirabayashi, Susie Rayos Marmon and Marie-Andrée Gill, for a user page full of help, and "keep on writing", - Ahsoka, you are an awesome Wikipedian!

You are recipient no. 2473 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:19, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations to the stats! I added her, and next time you can do it yourself. How about an infobox, as Jessye Norman has? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:19, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this Gerda Arendt! I would love to include an infobox, but there is a recent note message that says, "please do not add an infobox, per Wikipedia:WikiProject Classical music/Style guidelines#Biographical infoboxes" in the code. I've done some reading at the Teahouse about the controversy about Infoboxes from 2013 that, I believe, you were involved. Before I put in the work to add the infobox, I'd like to have a clearer sense of a decision before entering into the fray. I believe in digital accessibility and contributing to WikiData; however, I'm weary of extensive online quarrels. Should we build consensus within Anderson's talk page first? Any help or guidance in advance would be appreciated. Ahsoka Dillard (talk) 19:13, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, Ahsoka Dillard, and welcome to Women in Red. I see you have already added a number of informative articles on women and hope there will be many more. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 12:14, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ipigott! Yes. I've been a member of Women in Red since my WikiEdu class in 2020. It's tough to edit and add articles with a full-time job, but I'm participating in another WikiEdu class now and will highlight the contributions of women in Climate Finance. I continue to support the efforts of Wikipedia with my high school students and continue to look for ways to integrate Wikipedia in my classroom. Thank you for reaching out.
