[edit]Disambiguation link notification for May 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Clint McElroy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Universal Soldier (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:54, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia
[edit]Thanks for identifying the source of the material in your edit.
This type of edit does get picked up by Copy Patrol and a good edit summary helps to make sure we don't accidentally revert it. However, for future use, would you note the best practices wording as outlined at Wikipedia:Copying_within_Wikipedia? In particular, adding the phrase "see that page's history for attribution" helps ensure that proper attribution is preserved.
I've noticed that this guideline is not very well known, even among editors with tens of thousands of edits, so it isn't surprising that I point this out to some veteran editors, but there are some t's that you need to be crossed.S Philbrick(Talk) 13:29, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know; I've been on here since 2008 and hadn't heard of that policy. Yes, I've been doing some work migrating what was once a huge history section on the Royal Navy article out onto dedicated pages. Still got the last 300 years to do, so I'll make sure to include that line in the remaining edit summaries. --ERAGON (talk) 16:50, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hey ERAGON! Just wanted to let you know that I'm probably done working on this for today; I've noticed that a few times we've ended up editing near the same time and I don't want to accidentally delete something you've been working on. Thanks again for writing a bunch of episode summaries. Sariel Xilo (talk) 19:08, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- No worries, thanks for telling me. I've been writing them at odd moments through the day, UK time. --ERAGON (talk) 20:09, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- In hindsight it would make sense for me to just write summaries in notepad and paste them in to reduce the chance of edit conflict. I'm focusing on the Mighty Nein campaign currently, and more or less intend to go through chronologically. --ERAGON (talk) 20:17, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

Alphabet (video game)
[edit]Hi, ERAGON. I went ahead and reviewed your article Alphabet (video game). This means that I've assessed your article as suitable for the mainspace and that it can now be indexed by search engines. Before marking the article as reviewed, I marked the assessed the article as a 'Start' class (under WikiProject Video games), whose description can be found here. Likewise, I cleaned up the article's citation formatting and added a 'Reception' section. I also added an 'External links' section with a link to gameplay footage on YouTube. As a small detail, I also removed the stylization of the word 'Alphabet', as Wikipedia almost never uses the stylization of a subject to describe it within the article. I'm not sure if the characters under the letters in 'A͈L͈P͈H͈A͈B͈E͈T͈' are supposed to represent the legs and feet in the title screen, but I nevertheless kept that in the lead as "stylized A͈L͈P͈H͈A͈B͈E͈T͈".
I didn't feel I needed to make basically any changes to the lead, 'Gameplay', or 'Releases' section, though I did add a story from Polygon about PS Vita skins distributed by Dengeki.
When creating about video games in the future – or, for example, movies and TV shows – I'd highly recommend that you include a 'Reception' section, as it's a cornerstone of articles like this, both because it both expands the scope of our encyclopedic coverage of the subject and also because it's a huge reason why many readers visit an article about a game, show, movie, etc. in the first place.
With all that out of the way, I think you did a really good job writing the article and wanted to thank you for your work in making it. =) TheTechnician27 (Talk page) 21:02, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
- I think the stylization is meant to look like little legs, yeah. Thanks for the corrections; I wasn't sure about how Wikipedia handles stylized titles within an article- Scarling does it the other way (with a full stop after the word throughout the article), and probably needs changing then. I'll make sure to include a reception section in any more of these I write. It was quite an interesting topic to dive into; I remember seeing the Kickstarter and so on at the time but heard nothing until I looked into it recently. Thanks very much for your help.--ERAGON (talk) 09:54, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

An article you recently created, DJ Cutman, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. Right now, there is only one. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:53, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining that, I was not aware that interviews were not considered to meet GNG. There may not be sufficient articles available in DJ Cutman's case to meet GNG. ERAGON (talk) 16:42, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
