Hello,
I am working on a comprehensive page that I would like to have posted. When submitting a draft, is it you who reviews or some other member at Wikipedia? --SEC 2025 (talk) 19:04, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- @SEC 2025 Hello! Usually the people who review drafts will be the participants in Articles for Creation, which includes me, so it can be either or. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 19:21, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

- Thank you for your response! Are you allowed to take a look at my sandbox to assess how the page is looking and if there are any edits I should make before submitting? SEC 2025 (talk) 13:08, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
How can I edit my profile --UDIM oo (talk) 10:27, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- @UDIM oo Hello! You don't have a "profile" per se, but you do have a user page. That can be created and edited just about however you wish. Since this was your first edit, I'd recommend you check out the links I just put on your talk page. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 11:10, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
is there any way to show appreciation for a wikipedia editor? And, if so, how so? --Zzzleepi (talk) 15:13, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Zzzleepi Hello! Yes, there's multiple ways! You can of course write a thoughtfully worded message to the editor's talk page, but my favorite is the wikilove feature. You can click on the heart at the top of the editor's talk page and choose one of many ways to show your appreciation to someone. Another way is by using the aptly named thanks feature, which can be done on any edit by just simply clicking "thank" on it in the page history. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 15:15, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

- @Zzzleepi Hello! You can get a customized signature by going into Special:Preferences and changing the field "Signature". Question from Hair Band Rocker on Draft:Robby Vegas (17:43, 15 April 2025)
[edit]hello, can I have this page published please? --Hair Band Rocker (talk) 17:43, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Hair Band Rocker Hello! As you may have noticed on your talk page, I have declined the draft and marked it for speedy deletion under criteria G11. This means that it only serves to promote a person, and there is little-to-no salvageable content. Wikipedia is not a platform for advertising, and all articles must be written from a neutral point of view. However, whether the article is deleted or not is up to an administrator. Alongside this, the draft used only primary sources such as YouTube interviews and Instagram, none of which show notability. An article meets notability (or in your case, notability for musicians) when it cites multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. I know this is a lot to take in, but there's a lot that needs to be checked when you're writing articles for the 8th most visited website in the world that just so happens to be an encyclopedia. Please use the information that I have provided you. mwwv converse∫edits 17:58, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, administrator elections were permanently authorized on a five-month schedule. The next election will be scheduled soon; see Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections for more information. This is an alternate process to the RfA process and does not replace the latter.
- An RfC was closed with consensus to allow editors to opt-out of seeing "sticky decorative elements". Such elements should now be wrapped in {{sticky decoration wrapper}}. Editors who wish to opt out can follow the instructions at WP:STICKYDECO.
- An RfC has resulted in a broad prohibition on the use of AI-generated images in articles. A few common-sense exceptions are recognized.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2025 to reduce the backlog of articles in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!

[edit]I want to add some extra sounds in English Phonetics --Dr.Lekh Ranjan B.Patro (talk) 05:47, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Dr.Lekh Ranjan B.Patro Hello! You can do that, as long as you cite your sources for it. I've noticed this is your first edit; maybe you should check out the links I put on your talk page. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 20:41, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
An article you recently created, Simul, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - @Valeriu863 Hello! Yes, I do occasionally review drafts. Just note that we usually don't review drafts on demand; be patient and your draft will be gotten to eventually. As I can see, your draft has been rejected for being non-notable, which means it cannot be resubmitted. Because of this, I recommend you stop working on it for a while and wait for new information on the subject that can be added. Please also take in the information you received at the AFC Help Desk. [edit]Well i added a lot more information and sources after it got rejected should i just start a new draft? --Valeriu863 (talk) 23:56, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Valeriu863 Please do NOT create another draft, it'll be declined as a duplicate of the first draft and it may be seen as disruptive editing. Appeal to the reviewer who rejected your draft (S0091) if you believe the rejection should be reconsidered. mwwv converse∫edits 00:19, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive
[edit]
Hello Mwwv:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.
You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
- If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page.
Question from Marammarammaram on University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences (23:28, 22 May 2025)
[edit]How do i know if the content is promotional or just neutral? --Marammarammaram (talk) 23:28, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Marammarammaram Hello! That's quite a tricky question to answer; Usually I look for key words that I find in advertisements, like "renowned", "distinctive", etc. I also check for any criticism should any of the former words appear a good amount. In my experience, promotional material will be cut-and-dry, and promotional articles will have at the very least a bit of "twang" in it that sounds like its trying to sell you something. Some more details on what is and is not neutral can be found at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view#How to write neutrally. As for the article you linked, I would say it has promo but it's hard to put down where exactly it is. I would say skim through the article and remove/modify statements you believe are trying to convince you to like the college. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 23:57, 22 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from Paul-Thecla (04:48, 23 May 2025)
[edit]Hi, I am trying to improve an unverified article with additional citations and content to clarify the topic while reducing undue weight placed on religious sources. A couple editors keep reverting my changes without justification beyond protecting status quo. I keep offering to address specific disputes, but they just keep reverting my edits and accusing me of edit warring and vandalism.
When editors have a clear bias and just bully an article is there any point in trying to contribute? I want to just make it more objective and scholarly, but they want it to remain limited to religious sources and citations with dubious framing of the subject. --Paul-Thecla (talk) 04:48, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Paul-Thecla Hello! I suggest you start a discussion on the talk page. As for the contributions you're trying to make, they make drastic changes to the article, including suggesting a title change, which NEEDS a talk page discussion since the current title has been long-standing. While I agree that the usage of {{uw-vandalism2}} assumed less-than-good faith, you yourself have edit warred a bit. The editors are only following protocol outlined in the policies and guidelines, and huge changes like that require talk page discussion. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 16:02, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice. I was really just trying to restore my edits, but I wanted to stay above reproach when it comes to an edit warring accusation. I was reticent to get bogged down in a talk page discussion, because both the Editors deleting my edits self-identify as members of the Brigham Young LDS church and the POV of the article is weighted in that direction. It doesn't sound like I'll have much luck winning there since they have a whole group set up and can just puppeteer to kill all my editing since my goal is to reduce bias for the BY-LDS. [edit]Hello, I have been working on a draft and was wondering if you could look over it for me. Is it ok? I have tried to follow the rules as closely as I can. All the best, Lemon --Lemonwater60 (talk) 14:00, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Lemonwater60 Hello! Before I give my analysis, please note that we usually don't review drafts on demand. With that out of the way, there are a decent few problems. Most importantly, references 2 through 5 are somewhat vague and have broken links. While offline sources are completely fine to have, the sources show that you used an online repository to find them, and thus it's for the best if they're linked. I recommend that you check out Help:Referencing for beginners so you can fix them and make them properly verifiable. Another big problem is the tone. I do have a hard time pointing down why its non-neutral but I know for sure that its non-neutral. Words and phrases such as "prominent", "tireless work", and "valuable service" stuck out to me. I recommend reading Wikipedia:Neutral point of view#Explanation and the rest of the page, but in a nutshell, inform, don't influence. My last point is more minor but still outstanding: style. Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that lays out the style guidelines that all Wikipedia pages should follow. I recommend you give it a read (especially the style guidelines for bold) and take a look at Template:Biography for an example at proper formatting. Overall, the page needs quite a bit of work. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 20:32, 6 June 2025 (UTC)

Hey there,
how do I link to a subsection within an article?
To be more precise, I want to link to the subsection "Dorsal and ventral" in the section "Main terms" in the article "Anatomical terms of location", if that helps.
Thank you in advance! --Nihilux (talk) 16:58, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Nihilux Hello! Linking to a subsection is the same as linking to a section; it involves putting a hash (#) next to the article to be linked to, followed by the name of the subsection. In your example, it would be Anatomical terms of location#Dorsal and ventral. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 17:07, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

- @Nihilux Hello! Per the manual of style,
[a]fter the initial mention, a person should generally be referred to by surname only
. As so, the article should be changed to use his surname, Bishop. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 20:01, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
New page
[edit]Hi Mwwv!
I created a page. The draft is here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:AuditBoard When might it go live? What does the process look like? I have no COI with the company. I do not work for them, nor am I in contact with them directly or through any 3rd party.
Thanks! Binsen2323 (talk) 21:30, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Binsen2323 Hello! The normal process of these is to go through Articles for Creation. I have placed the AfC template on the page for you. Once you're ready to submit the draft for review, press the button that says so. Since there's a backlog drive happening right now, your submission is more likely to get reviewed faster. It very widely depends when it gets moved to the article namespace, it could be after a few hours or even never. My advice to you is to be patient and fix any problems that are identified. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 01:56, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
Is there any way to make images look different depending on if you are using light or dark mode? I'm currently on an article which uses pictures with black lines and a transparent background, which does not go well with dark mode. I also already tried just filling the background with white, but then they look weird in the frames and if I remove them, they get aligned in a very weird way --Nihilux (talk) 16:18, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Nihilux Hello! Unfortunately, this is one of those moments where I can't give much advice. I personally do not use Wikipedia's built in dark mode, rather the dark reader extension (hell, it even has an example of it being used on here), so I can't give any advice on the dark mode Wikipedia uses. Dark reader is pretty hit-or-miss when it comes to inverting images, but it gets the job done. Anyways, I'm sure the people over at VPT will be working on dark mode image support at some point in the future. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 17:31, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll just add the images with white backgrounds if I don't find a workaround Nihilux (talk) 20:53, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
- Or I just make the lines blue or something so you can see them in both modes. Should check if there is anything against color, first, though Nihilux (talk) 20:54, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

June Backlog Drive is almost over!
[edit]
Hi! Thanks for participating in the Articles for Creation June Backlog Drive! We've done amazing work so far, dropping the backlog by more than 2000 drafts already. We have around 400 drafts outstanding, and we need your help to get that down to zero in 5 days. We can do this, but we need all hands on deck to make this happen. A list of the pending drafts can be found at WP:AFCSORT, where you can select submissions in your area of interest. Thank you so much for your work so far, and happy reviewing! – DreamRimmer ■ 01:33, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

[edit]can i make a page ?? --Eosiofthestars (talk) 03:40, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
- @Eosiofthestars Hello! Yes, you can! If you're looking to make an article, see Help:Your first article. In short, find multiple secondary reliable sources that are independent of the subject so notability can be proven and information can be verified. Since this looks to be your first edit here, I recommend you check out the indroduction. I've also put some more useful links on your talk page. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 14:25, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted
[edit]
Hi Mwwv, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! Sohom (talk) 03:31, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
