[edit]Whether something is in Mid-Levels or Central
[edit]Hi! I saw this comment. I'll check if those schools are in Central or Mid-Levels or both. WhisperToMe (talk) 07:53, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
- For Sacred Heart the address is "香港中環堅道26號" and 中環 is Central, but Google Maps labels it as "Mid-Levels". If the SCMP puts it in Mid-Levels I would consider it in both places at once.

edit to national anthem of Hong Kong
[edit]"March of the Volunteers" is not the official national anthem of Hong Kong from 1997.
Basic Law and the Law of Hong Kong didn‘t define what song will be the national anthem of Hong Kong from 1997 as Hong Kong is running the “one country two system” rule. This has not be change even China make an amendment to the Annex III of the Basic Law in 2018 & the subseqence implemtn of the national anthem law.
Those law only require Hongkonger respect to the “National Anthem of People Republic of China”, there are no define "March of the Volunteers" will become or is the national anthem of Hong Kong.
Thus, until now, there do not have any offical national anthem of Hong Kong. Please change it back to the correct description. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.166.22 (talk) 16:28, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Melbourne Airport railway station, Melbourne
[edit]A tag has been placed on Melbourne Airport railway station, Melbourne requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. MB 02:06, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
Melbourne Ferries
[edit]I included the other PTV ferry services in the Melbourne network because:
- The Western Port Ferry starts at Stony Point and connects to the Melbourne network.
- The 2 of the 3 Port Phillip Ferries start at Melbourne in Docklands.
- Geelong―Melbourne: runs via Portarlington and is the Melbourne―Portarlington + the Portarlington―Geelong ferries in one. The available timetables show only Saturday and Sunday services between 11 March and 23 April run direct Geelong―Melbourne.
ThylacineHunter (talk) 14:39, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- In line with the vline listing, only transport within metro Melbourne is listed out (or the whole vline network will need to be included)
- For the Geelong―Melbourne ferry I will simply all into Geelong―Portarlington―Melbourne if that works? And I also I followed the PTV page so I put Melbourne instead of Docklands Purin128AL (talk) 15:34, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- As the Geelong―Portarlington―Melbourne routes are unlikely to be turned into separate articles I'm happy to display it as one route, although I would maybe swap the order of Melbourne and Geelong to match the route diagrams on Transport in Melbourne#Ferries and Port Phillip Ferries (which also needs to swap navbox to regional Victoria). -- ThylacineHunter (talk) 21:37, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

Southern Cross Station layout diagram
[edit]It is now possible to create a diagram for the layout of Southern Cross Station. I have submitted a request for BSicons for platform numbers needed for this station and there now are a full set for both "A" & "B" so it will be possible to combine the letters with numbers to produce the relevant platform numbers needed (1, 2A-8A, 2B-8B, 8S, 9-14, 15A-16A, 15B-16B). -- ThylacineHunter (talk) 04:46, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks! Although the main reason I haven't done it is because the layout is way too complicated + time consuming and I do not want to leave out any sidings. I'm quite busy with uni work recently so I'll complete the layout for the rest of the network when I have time. Purin128AL (talk) 04:59, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- I was actually unaware you had been doing the line route maps until today and have been updating them as HoHo3143 has been updating the pages to be good articles. I have, at the moment, removed reference in the diagrams to grade separations awaiting further research into how best to display them without making the route maps too confusing or too long. Also whether to just show on the service and not on the physical track. These thing will be clarified by the new section regarding a standard for the diagrams. -- ThylacineHunter (talk) 05:39, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- I've only been creating track layout diagrams, but not the route ones. I do think level crossings should not be included in the route diagrams, but elevated/trenched sections should be included. Route diagrams should stay simple.
- So for track diagrams I would include most rail infrastructures: elevated, trench, bridge over rivers/bridges over roads, demolished stations with certain structures stil intact, rail yards/depots, level crossings, intersection with freeways, track gauges, electrification and platforms.
- For Southern Cross I'm thinking a way to indicate which tracks are electrified, which are not, which are std/dual/broad gauges which might make it very complicated. Purin128AL (talk) 06:19, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Dual gauge: On my own website, I have been using some of my own versions of the BSicons for track layouts (easiest way I've found to make custom complex layouts). I selected to show dual gauge as a "teal" like set of icons. This is something that we could uses on here. I've also realised there will occasionally be a need for a 2nd colour for narrow gauge as there are some locations on the 2ft 6in Victorian narrow system that also had an interchange with a 2ft or 3ft 'tramway', for these I have currently selected "ochre" although I am open to other suggestions.
- Elevated/trenched sections: I do agree that they are better suited to Physical track instead of Service diagrams, but there is a potential for the Physical track to cause issues in locations there there is a former railway junction to a closed line originally at ground level that has now been rebuilt as either elevated or lowered track. The Service diagram does not have this potential problem as there are only stations shown.
- -- ThylacineHunter (talk) 06:40, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- The only stations without service I included in track layout is only General Motors as it has useable platforms intact, and Pakenham East/East Pakenham whatever it is called as it will be there in 2024. For other grade seperations I've just decided to remove them as they can be seen nowhere from a train. Examples include the new Union station track layout and Pakenham line skyrail where I just update every time a new section is built. Purin128AL (talk) 10:31, 20 March 2023 (UTC)

Post-election pendulum for the 2014 Victorian state election moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Post-election pendulum for the 2014 Victorian state election, is not suitable as written to remain published. WP:OSE is not a suitable argument. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 10:06, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hey, hope you are well. I have tagged Unique Student Identifier with notability issues. Please can you address? I was on the fence because it's useful but it does not appear to meet GNG. If tag not addressed, I may need to draft this. Thanks. MaxnaCarta (talk) 04:54, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have added multiple secondary sources that addresses the article and referenced them. Does that address the notability? A few of them are considered from reliable sources as per WP:RSP Purin128AL (talk) 09:12, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
Lines and Services
[edit]The use of {{rcb}}
on Victorian railway station infoboxes is incorrect. {{rcb}}
is for services, these are different to the lines that the stations are actually on.
eg Tarneit railway station, there is no such lines as Geelong or Warrnambool (they are the V/Line services), the line it is on is the Deer Park–West Werribee railway line.
While the services aren't supposed to be listed in the lines section, I do think they are more relevant than the actual line names. I would suggest keeping both service and line in that section. -- ThylacineHunter (talk) 13:17, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
