You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Walter Archer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Bare URLs

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for adding urls to the Ian Bradley article. When you have a moment, would you kindly add the author name, title, publisher, date of publication and access date to these refs?. See Wikipedia:Bare URLs#Helping to prevent future link rot. An easy way to format them is like this:

<ref>Smith, John. [url "Article title"], Publisher, Date, Access Date.</ref>

Thanks! -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:57, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pease family

[edit]

In regards to the Pease family article, a lot of editors frown upon articles that look more like genealogy than encyclopedia entries. Adding lots of family members who are not notable (and note National Portrait gallery or on the Peerage website doesn't count) except by being related to more famous people is likely to get the entire article deleted rapidly. The article should concentrate on the family's 19th century power. See WP:NOTGENEALOGY --Erp (talk) 05:28, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

William Ewart Bradley moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, William Ewart Bradley, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 04:39, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adding photos of yourself

[edit]

Thanks for the additions to Dryrobe and Lomond Hills of you and your red jackets, but in the latter case there were already photos on Commons of the same trig point without anybody sitting on it and waving at the camera. I don't think we need a human for scale in this case. Belbury (talk) 09:44, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ian Bradley

[edit]

You added a photo with his father. Then you deleted it. Would you please explain? -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:32, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Initially I thought it added to the profile but on reflection and discussion I feel it best left out. Sagette (talk) 21:44, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I liked the photo, and if it is a free image, I think it adds to the article. Did you take the photo? If not, who took the photo? -- Ssilvers (talk) 22:45, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know, possibly my grandmother or uncle or someone else. Sagette (talk) 23:06, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. The image pages for family photos that you own should not say "own work". Check with permissions-commons@wikimedia.org, as they can advise you how to properly label (and upload any more) family photos to Commons. -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:23, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Andrew David Bradley. When removing a maintenance template, please either ensure that the problem that the template refers to has been resolved, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as this change has been reverted. Take a look at getting started to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Paternal Sagette (talk) 22:39, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To be more clear, please do not remove the "clarification needed" tag at the word "parenteral" until you have actually clarified what is meant there. "Parental" or "paternal" would both make sense.

Information icon Hello, I'm Jessicapierce. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Andrew David Bradley. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 22:00, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Andrew David Bradley, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 01:37, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Jessicapierce (talk) 01:37, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Andrew David Bradley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No WP:SIGCOV found to demonstrate notability for WP:ANYBIO or WP:JOURNALIST. Article was previously moved per WP:DRAFTIFY back in March 2025, but was moved back to mainspace with insufficient sourcing, and unreliable sources, that establish that the BLP meets notability criteria.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Isaidnoway (talk) 06:38, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You can ignore this message, the article has instead been nominated for deletion. Isaidnoway (talk) 06:44, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
