To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 17:54 on 3 June 2025) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Actual errors only. Failures of subjective criteria such as interestingness are not errors.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

[edit]Errors in "Did you know ..."
[edit]- "that a Long Island TV station sued a columnist for satirizing its signal ...". I was confused how you can possibly satirize an electromagnetic signal. It turns out that what was meant was "the weakness of its signal", but the article uses "receivability". I considered "poor reception", but that might be misinterpreted as what people thought of it. "... that the creator of what is considered the world's first escape room attributed his idea to playing the online Flash game Crimson Room?"
@LewisMCYoutube, Juxlos, and History6042: The article uses the very WP:WEASELly "has been said to have incited the creation of the first real escape room event hosted by Japanese magazine SCRAP" - and is given five different citations bundled when an inline for this would be ideal. Was this the first escape room specifically made by SCRAP? That's the way it's worded. I believe SCRAP's first escape room reasonably could be good for this hook but "what is considered the world's first" is faulty because the enwp article Escape room has dates for a room in Spain as far back as 2003, before Crimson Room's release in 2004. Departure– (talk) 01:31, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
- Going to add that the Spanish escape room has no inline citations in the article but at its own article Négone, as orange tagged as it may be, does source a 2003 date, but it's behind a paywall so I can't verify at this very second. Departure– (talk) 01:35, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
- Yet another problematic "first" hook. SL93 (talk) 01:36, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
Pulled. I'm surprised this wasn't discussed at WT:DYK as part of promoting it. Schwede66 04:15, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
- Schwede66 I queued the set, but I was only aware of the bit about "Such hooks require sourcing that discusses the set in some detail; a throwaway comment in an article about the subject is not sufficient." While I didn't see it added anywhere, I did see the long discussion about it. In this case, there are several such workable sources. I was not aware of "Additionally, queuers are encouraged to bring superlative hooks to Wikipedia talk:Did you know for further discussion even if they appear watertight." I wonder what else I missed from not being glued to the DYK talk page because I'm certainly not going to read the same guidelines/policies every single time that I do something. - ... that the first defendants indicted for the crime of apartheid have not yet faced trial?: this is my error, as I approved the hook, but it should be a crime of apartheid (that is, a crime committed on behalf of the Apartheid state), not the crime. The crime itself was murder. Ping to Buidhe as nominator and main editor. UndercoverClassicist T·C 11:29, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
-
- UndercoverClassicist and Black Kite I'm afraid you are both mistaken. The article is very clear that it's about the first time someone was charged with the crime of apartheid, not the first time someone was charged for crimes committed on behalf of the South African government under apartheid rule. The defendants were additionally charged with murder. (t · c) buidhe 16:19, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
- Oops — yes, it is — I jumped in too hastily there after rereading the lead. UndercoverClassicist T·C 16:51, 3 June 2025 (UTC)

Errors in "On this day"
[edit]- Kindly replace the silhouette with File:Jack jouett silhouette.svg. We are in 2025, not 1995 and don't need heavy JPEG artificing. Oh, and it takes up less space than the JPEG! JayCubby 00:19, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
There's an extraneous semicolon after Martyrs Day in Uganda
. Jay8g [V•T•E] 03:04, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
- Not an error as such, but why are we using the image slot today to illustrate someone who we don't actually have a proper image of? We have good images of the Duke of Windsor and of the ships involved in the fourth hook. Black Kite (talk) 10:27, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
