To report an error in content currently or imminently on the Main Page, use the appropriate section below.
- Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 10:09 on 14 May 2025) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.
Errors in the summary of the featured article
[edit]The article uses the careful "died by suicide", which is preferred by many with a connection to the topic and to mental health advocacy -- see e.g. here. It would be better if the TFA blurb did the same, rather than "committed suicide", particularly given its very wide audience. UndercoverClassicist T·C 08:19, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- The article has, notably, used this for nineteen minutes. Vaticidalprophet 08:29, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- I suggest that this is not an error. I further suggest that editors interested in the wording discuss that at Talk:Marie Sophie Hingst#Describing suicide. Schwede66 10:08, 14 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Mindon Min and His Coronation
[edit]Currently the front page declares that Mindon Min, King of Burma, was crowned on 14 May 1857. His own page gives 6 July 1854 as the date. It only refers to 1857 as the year that he founded Mandalay. Its own page specifies this was on 13 February. Was there a second coronation in Mandalay? Or is there an error somewhere? --88.146.220.100 (talk) 08:52, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
I have found Coronation of Mindon Min, which does say it happened in Mandalay on 14 May 1857. Does this mean it was the King's page, which has been vandalised? --88.146.220.100 (talk) 08:56, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
Looking back through the archives... The King's own page has said 6 July 1854 for at least a decade. Should I move this to the talk page there? --88.146.220.100 (talk) 08:58, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, please bring that up on that talk page. Schwede66 10:09, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
