This is basically a company presentation, but that's not what we want. We want instead a summary of significant coverage published by multiple secondary sources that are reliable and entirely independent of the subject. DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:27, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

Sensio AS is a Norwegian care technology company that develops digital systems for health and social care. Founded in 2009, it provides monitoring tools, alarm systems, and coordination platforms used in elder care services. The company operates in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and several other European countries.[1]

History

[edit]

Sensio was established in Oslo in 2009, initially focusing on smart house technology. Over time, the company expanded to offer technologies supporting institutional and home-based care.[2]

In 2024, Nordic Capital acquired a majority stake in the company, with Longship retaining a minority interest.[3] According to reporting by *Finansavisen*, Sensio reported annual revenue of approximately NOK 600 million in 2024.[1]

Products and services

[edit]

Sensio develops a suite of digital care technologies designed for use in municipal and private care environments.

  • RoomMate: A contact-free sensor device for monitoring movement and fall detection, used in care homes and home care across Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom and Sweden. The sensor has been deployed in facilities in municipalities such as Strängnäs, Sweden[4] and Stavanger[5] and Walhavens gate, Oslo.[6]
  • Sensio 365: An e-healthcare platform integrating alarms, communication tools, and service planning modules.[7]
  • Sensio Insight: A data analytics and planning system, used by care providers, that collects and presents resident data. It received the 2024 EHiN Award for digital health innovation in Norway.[8]
  • Safemate: A personal safety and tracking device designed to support users with cognitive impairments in daily life.[9]
  • IKOS: A digital workflow tool and interaction board for resident coordination and follow-up in care homes.

In 2025, UK-based care provider Lovett Care began rolling out Sensio's technology across its facilities, following a pilot phase.[10]

As of 2025, Sensio employed over 200 people. Sensio’s headquarter is in Oslo, with additional branches in Sweden, Denmark, and the United Kingdom.[1]
