November 2024 before block
[edit]Hello, I'm AntiDionysius. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jessica Kirkland, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! AntiDionysius (talk) 16:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Jessica Kirkland. Thank you. Quid Est Squid (talk) 16:51, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Jessica Kirkland, you may be blocked from editing. AntiDionysius (talk) 16:56, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Especially when adding content to a biography of a living person, you must have sources to go with it. See Wikipedia:Reliable sources to learn what is considered a reliable source here, and see Help:Referencing for beginners to learn how to add them. - Stop changing true facts! This is from her team. 72.49.25.113 (talk) 01:42, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
- Jessica and her team do not own this article. If you are associated with her in any way, you have a conflict of interest. You must declare this conflict and you are not allowed to edit this article directly. Instead, you should make edit requests and you must provide reliable sources to support the changes. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Jessica Kirkland. You have been told enough times that you need to provide reliable sources when adding content. You also messed up the linking with your edit. Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, 72.49.25.113. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Jessica Kirkland, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. win8x (talk) 21:28, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
Citing reliable sources
[edit]Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. You can learn which sources Wikipedia considers reliable at WP:Reliable sources and find out how to add the sources at Help:Referencing for beginners. Citing reliable sources is part of the very foundation of Wikipedia, and it must be done. Thank you. signed, Willondon (talk) 21:44, 7 January 2025 (UTC)

. EvergreenFir (talk) 21:44, 7 January 2025 (UTC)/--Ahecht (talk) 21:45, 7 January 2025 (UTC)- this is from Jessica kirklands team and you blocked me. Trying to keep her page safe and true facts. It’s wrong! Nothing I have written is vandalism. 72.49.25.113 (talk) 23:29, 12 January 2025 (UTC)
- Only one of the many messages on this talk page mentions vandalism. In the entire edit history of the Jessica Kirkland article, the word "vandal" never appears in the edit summaries; not once. What you will find among reverts of your edits is the word "unsourced". This is because content on Wikipedia must be accompanied with a cite to a reliable source, especially so on biographies of living persons. It may not make any sense to you now that identifying as a team member, somebody so close to the subject of the article, would be insufficient for a reader to verify the information, but I expect you will be much happier if you pause and take the time to understand why Wikipedia uses references to reliable published sources as a means for the reader to verify things. You must have got the information from somewhere. If you can point the reader to where it came from, then they can verify it for themself. It's not that Wikipedia thinks you are incorrect, or lying. It's just that you have to help Wikipedia vouch for your edits. signed, Willondon (talk) 13:50, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
