Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Federal University of Technology Akure, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page School of Computing. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:38, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Royalesignature. Following your request at the Help Desk today, I took a longer look at the article about FUTA. It is exclusively your contributions which have added the peacock wording, since your edits started from this much more neutral version of May 13. While we value contributions from editors who have knowledge of the topics they write about, it is a core policy of Wikipedia that articles maintain a neutral point of view. There are currently numerous pieces of text where you have violated that policy, including in whole sections about FUTA radio's "exciting lineup" and in sections where there are no citations to show, for example, what is meant by "students express their passion for ". Please read the policies and guidelines I have linked and revise your work to be in line with them. Otherwise the most likely outcome is that another editor will simply WP:REVERT all your additions. Control copyright icon Hello Royalesignature! Your additions to Federal College of Agriculture, Akure have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. CandyScythe (talk) 18:42, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, CandyScythe accepted that the image's might not be from open source but the content wasn't violated any copyright rules it was well structured and paraphrased to suit the content I'm editing Royalesignature (talk) 20:26, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Offa Specialist Hospital requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Deletion discussion about MOK Foundation

[edit]

Hello Royalesignature, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, MOK Foundation, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MOK Foundation.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SafariScribe}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

About your name pages

[edit]

Hi, Royalesignature. Thanks for taking the time to improve Wikipedia's coverage of names! But when you're making lists of people in your name articles (such at at Ogunmola, please don't copy the first sentence or two from the lead of their article into the new name list. This is technically a copyright violation- but more importantly than that, it makes the pages hard to read. Just put the person's name, the year they were born and the year they died (if you have it!), and their nationality/occupation. For an example, look at something like Maisie (given name). GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 20:21, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, @Royalesignature.
Are you using a computer program to create these name articles? On this article, it looks like lots of text was added in by mistake.
Can you please explain to me how you're making these articles? Thank you! GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 21:29, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for reaching out once again the correction will ne made in the subsequent edit kindly pardon my oversight. Royalesignature (talk). 01:04, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Olufemi Oluyede moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Olufemi Oluyede, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). The main reason that it goes to draft is a copyvio; I have ducumented that on the talk page. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Royalesignature, I regret to inform you that you have been disqualified from the African Legislators in Red contest. Despite multiple instructions and reminders during the training sessions that "Non-compliance with any part of these rules, for any reason, will result in immediate and automatic disqualification from the contest," you have repeatedly failed to adhere to the guidelines.

Initially, you were creating drafts without using the designated input box on the meta page for the campaign—a clear violation of the rules. Although this alone could have warranted disqualification, it was overlooked. However, in the past few hours, you have been mass-producing stubs with only a single source. While I encourage stub creations, producing low-quality stubs with meagrest sourcing undermines the contest's objectives.

Also, your translations from English Wikipedia to Yoruba Wikipedia have raised concerns. A Yoruba Wikipedian has noted that your translations are often incomprehensible or incomplete. They stated: "The new articles you are creating are not full and are not very appropriate for Yoruba Wikipedia. We encourage you to include the passages so that they are more readable.", which does not meet the lowest quality standards we aim for.

This lack of attention to quality, coupled with repeated rule violations, leaves no choice but to disqualify you from the contest. I strongly encourage you to prioritise quality over quantity in your future contributions, whether in creating articles or translating content. Thank you for your understanding and for participating in our African Legislators in Red contest. I hope you use this as an opportunity to improve and refine your editing practices.

Best regards, Vanderwaalforces (talk) 17:26, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Vanderwaalforces,
Thank you for your mail informing me of my disqualification from the African Legislators in Red contest. I appreciate your detailed explanation of the reasons behind this decision, and I acknowledge that I failed to comply with the contest rules.
I want to assure you that I take full responsibility for my actions, and I'm committed to making the necessary corrections. I will prioritize quality over quantity in my future contributions, whether in creating articles or translating content.
Regarding the translations from English Wikipedia to Yoruba Wikipedia, I want to clarify that I translated the exact information without any omissions. However, I understand that the quality of my translations may not have met the expected standards. I'm willing to revisit my translations and make the necessary improvements.
Additionally, I will ensure that my future stub creations are well-structured and referenced, avoiding the mistake of using only a single source.
Once again, I appreciate your feedback and guidance. I'm committed to learning from my mistakes and improving my editing practices. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the African Legislators in Red contest.
Best regards,
Royalesignaturex Royalesignature (talk). 20:13, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pleased to inform you that I've improved all the stubs created with additional citations
