Regarding your userpage

[edit]

Hi, Shalini.

I prefer to keep discussion of my administrative actions on-wiki, unless private information is involved, so I'll reply to your email here.

I deleted your userpage because it exceeded the limited level of autobiographical content that we allow. Something like "I am a software developer, content creator, and digital marketing specialist based in Jaipur, Rajasthan" would be fine. But by writing it in the third person, mentioning technical qualifications that aren't relevant to editing Wikipedia, and using moderately self-promotional terminology like "She is recognized for," it came off as more of an advertisement of yourself professionally. Feel free to create a new userpage in line with our guidelines, or better yet, just focus on contributing to the encyclopedia! Note that we're significantly less strict about userpages with people who have already established that they are here to build an encyclopedia.

I hope that clears things up. Please let me know if you have any further questions. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 01:58, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tamzin,
Thank you for the clarification! I really appreciate your feedback and understand the guidelines better now. I’ll make sure to revise my userpage to align with the community standards, and focus more on contributing to Wikipedia! ShaliniTaknet (talk) 06:03, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of KDK Softwares for deletion

[edit]
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article KDK Softwares is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KDK Softwares until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

B-Factor (talk) 09:18, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi B-Factor,
Thank you for your helpful feedback. I’ve made several updates to the KDK Softwares article based on your suggestions.
I’ve added independent sources that cover the company’s history, partnerships, and role in the industry, which I believe address the notability concerns. I also worked on rewording parts of the article to ensure the tone is more neutral, avoiding any promotional language.
I’ve also made sure every sentence in the article is now properly cited with references from reliable, independent sources.
I really appreciate your input, and I hope these changes meet the standards. Please take a look at the updated version, and let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to adjust.
Thanks again,

Sea foam art moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Sea foam art. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Cinder painter (talk) 08:02, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Sea foam art has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I found almost no sources at all for sea foam art as a concept, and certainly none that were reliable with significant coverage. At best this is original research, at worst AI-generated nonsense. The only reference given is simply to a picture that mentions sea foam.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
