Sources are required

[edit]

Wikipedia has lots of conventions and requirements that it takes time to get used to. One absolute requirement in Wikipedia is that sources are given inline for material, see for instance WP:BURDEN. I reverted your recent edits to noble metals because they were not sourced. (I was also not sure how important that information was -- not everything belongs on Wikipedia). Ldm1954 (talk) 23:16, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Ldm1954 Ok that was easy, I could have easily provided the sources instead of you just reverting the entire edit. I didn't have time yesterday and I left it for today, and didn't expect some random ignorant dude on the internet to delete my work, when he could have easily searched the net himself. SuvGh (talk) 08:30, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please read the rules of etiquette on Wikipedia, WP:5P. Adding unsourced statements is not allowed. If you do not add appropriate secondary, independent sources your conduct is highly innappropriate. Ldm1954 (talk) 08:57, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ldm1954 I added them, now you should be happy SuvGh (talk) 09:22, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ldm1954 now it should be your job to undo the undone edit. SuvGh (talk) 08:31, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bose and Antisemitism

[edit]

Bose had shown anti-Semitic tendencies long before he arrived in Germany. He had refused to offer refuge to Jewish intellectuals as Congress president in the late 1930s. Nehru and others had to override his vote. See Maria Casolari's book referenced in the lead. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 02:28, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Besides, the enemy of my enemy excuse is not a get out of jail free card Fowler&fowler«Talk» 02:33, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Fowler&fowler He was "jailed" for civil disobedience against the British Empire and the treaty hat "We will give you independence provided you hand over him to us, dead or alive. SuvGh (talk) 13:29, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Fowler&fowler And also your false accusations are highly inappropriate and can definitely be termed racist. I'm not some kind of hyper nationalist but that guy is equivalent to Abraham Lincoln and George Washington in India. Further more, even when he was a child be went on to help the needy, so He absolutely can't be accused by ignorant people by you. For source, just check out any history video about his life in YT. SuvGh (talk) 13:32, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Who do you think has written the bit about helping the needy as a child? See here. Also, a friendly warning: you better take out the accusations of racist this and that. You could get into trouble on Wikipedia Fowler&fowler«Talk» 16:40, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Fowler&fowler And Before you revert again because you're probably an ignorant British man, please Do Actual Research before filling Wikipedia with hatred. Please refrain from your actions and stop your hate-motivated agenda SuvGh (talk) 13:57, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Subhas Chandra Bose. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Toddy1 (talk) 20:03, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, along with making personal attacks in edit summaries, as you did at Subhas Chandra Bose. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The Bushranger One ping only 02:53, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@The Bushranger Please reply to my comment that I made to the other guy also. SuvGh (talk) 06:13, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have extended this block to indefinite. Promoting racial and religious hatred, such as by edit-warring to remove well-sourced assertions of a person's antisemitism because of one's own stated fondness for them, is fundamentally disruptive and merits an indefinite block. Calling other editors racist based on their nationality doesn't help. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 05:50, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Tamzin I have and had a simple question, as I believe Wikipedia requires sources for information. I have asked them, you must provide sources before you add anything hateful to that person's page. They provided no sources.
And by blocking me, you're commiting racism too. SuvGh (talk) 06:04, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Tamzin Answer me DIRECTLY,
the various Monarchs of Europe like UK and especially Belgium, committed horrific atrocities in India, African (especially Belgian Congo) , but in their first pages,
IS IT WRITTEN THAT UNDER THEIR REIGN SO AND SO PEOPLE DIED OF ATROCITIES?
NO. But without providing any sources, your writing "anti semitism" in a Freedom Fighter's web page?
IF THIS ISN'T RACISM, WHAT IS? ANSWER ME IN A VALID DEBATE.
SO, if you have to, still add that, then May all the colonizer's their monarchs, add the negative info in their first page only.
IF you still believe you're doing right, after reading my entire comment, then 1.4billion people hate you. SuvGh (talk) 06:10, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Tamzin why isn't under the monarchs of europes' web pages written that they killed this many people? SuvGh (talk) 06:15, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My opinions on content are not relevant here, but for what it's worth I would have no objection to our articles on various historic monarchs prominently discussing atrocities committed in their name, if it is proportional to discussion in reliable sources. I see that we do so for Leopold II of Belgium. Which monarchs we ought to do so for is something that needs to be settled article-by-article based on close analysis of the sources.
That isn't relevant here. You removed the statement that Bose was an antisemite because, by your own admission on the article's talkpage, you didn't like that Wikipedia said something negative about someone many Indians admire. Minimizing the bigotry and crimes of Nazis and their allies has long been something we block people for here. Any other approach would allow people to use Wikipedia to promote hatred. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 06:20, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Tamzin See I said "For the sake of argument if we agree that he was anti semetic then we shall...... " not that he was anti semetic he allied with them because of shared enemies and fight for freedom.
(For the sake of argument means that even IF we agree, not that it is correct) , any ways
And hence this misinfo, which I DID NOT see any proof here or online; I wanted to change. Sorry if my tone seemed confrontational, but I believe if Wikipedia is to be used by others for accurate info, IT must provide sources and if not, it shall not be included. Simple.
I just want Proof about him being what he said. Concrete evidence. SuvGh (talk) 06:50, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Tamzin Nazis were terrible, no doubt. no one shall can Or will sympathize with them, no one with sanity atleast. By he was merely looking for an ally to help them win the fight for freedom, not that he liked them in any way. (Sort of how US and USSR collaborated in ww2) SuvGh (talk) 06:53, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you want evidence of Bose being an antisemite and supporting national socialism as an ideology, the article you were defacing would be a good place to start. There's a whole section on it. I'm not here to shame you for liking the guy—any more than I'd shame an American for liking Franklin D. Roosevelt, who instituted a racist system of concentration camps but also did a lot of good things—but once you get to the point of removing sourced negative information, that's where this becomes an issue. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 17:38, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
