Koenigsegg CCX / CCXR

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you have contributed to Koenigsegg CCX and I have suggested merging it with Koenigsegg CCXR. I thought that since you have edited it, you might be interested in discussing the merge here. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Email 06:04, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind explaining to me why exactly you felt it necessary to change all the links on the results page for the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Not only have you done nothing but create red links that go nowhere, but in the process you've also eliminated good links to sponsors and manufacturers that were already in place. See for instance that Team Peugeot Total gives readers two links they can go to, while Team Peugeot Total goes nowhere and offers no information. The359 (talk) 22:44, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because I thought if someone wanted to create something about Team Peugeot Total, I made it into 1 thing, worked for [[Audi Sport North America & aswell for the car chassis. I was'nt sure why most of the Lola chassis' like say the BO7/17 was under a different Lola racing chassis, same with the 997 GT3-RSR, I don't know why when you clicked onto that does the road going 911 GT3 come up.
Nobody's going to create something about "Team Peugeot Total" or "Audi Sport North America" because those entities do not exist, they're only entrant names. The correct articles would be Peugeot Sport or Champion Racing in this instance. In sports car tables, unless there are actual pages for those articles, we don't add links. When we create pages, then we go back and had the links. Sure, there are lots of red links in the Le Mans articles, but we should probably clean them up. Or create articles. You can help if you want to. --Pc13 (talk) 09:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Things such as cars are under different headings because of variants. B07/17 is just a variant of the B06/10, so it is discussed at the B07/10 article. The 911 GT3-RSRs are racing variants of the 911 GT3, so they are discussed at the 911 GT3 article. Articles on seperate race cars don't always exist, some are simply grouped together due to similarities. The359 (talk) 07:41, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Jaguar XJR-9, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 20:54, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Danny. I am not sure that individual GP2 Series races are notable enough to warrant their own articles, so have have started a discussion on the subject here, where you are welcome to participate.

On a related note, would you care to explain these two edits which confuse Michael Herck and Sergio Hernández?--Diniz(talk) 19:18, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went onto the GP2 website & it came up under Campos Racing Michael Herck instead of Sergio Hernández so I thought that'll need a bit of editing! As for results, I thought it would be easier for people to read the results in a summary, but if not happy I'll delete what I've created!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Danny 93 (talkcontribs)
Strange - I went on to the GP2 website to follow it up and couldn't find anything. Was it the official GP2 website? Anyway, if the GP2 Series website's old results are anything like formula1.com's, then they should be taken with a pinch of salt, as official websites often aren't the most reliable (strangely).--Diniz(talk) 17:03, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. First, Lilian Bryner is a woman, make sure you have that down before you write an article on a person (especially a living one). Second, don't use &s and other abbreviations like 1st, write out the words and and first. The359 (talk) 18:02, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Two things: First, make sure you don't delete EVERYTHING in an article when you remove a section, such as here, and secondly, capitalize proper nouns in titles of articles, as in List of Group C sports cars. The359 (talk) 23:39, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to 2009 1000km of Catalunya. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Kingpin13 (talk) 16:13, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated notice. A user is concerned you may be misusing multiple accounts or IPs (for example to edit war or evade a restriction), and has asked more experienced editors to review yours' and others' editing to see if they agree or not.

A concern like this must be supported by evidence, which they have posted on this page. You can comment on the matter as well, for example to defend yourself or explain background that might help third party editors in their review of the case.

  • If there isn't a good case, then you don't even need to comment (although you can), because the reviewing administrators will usually see that for themselves. Nothing will happen if there isn't reasonable evidence; the case will close.
  • If you do wish to comment, please keep it brief, explain what a reviewer needs to know, and stick to the point; anything else except the question "have multiple accounts or IPs been used improperly" is off topic and may be removed by any clerk. D.M.N. (talk) 19:22, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A message from your accused sockpuppet

[edit]

What a bizarre coincidence! Did you see the colours on the 2009 WRC page and think it would be a good idea to try this on the 2009 f1 page. I tried it before the season started and brought it up here but it was rejected. For this very reason, I cannot be duping you (as you suggested on D.M.N.'s talk page), as I came up with the idea first. Thanks Petera93 (talk) 20:24, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WRC Entries

[edit]

You have added round 6 to some of the entries- but round 6 is italy, and they have not yet released the entry list, so were you meaning to add argentina entries, because I had already done that. Please undo your edit if you made a mistake. Thanks Petera93 (talk) 12:24, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2009 Le Mans

Please wait until after the race to do that sort of additions. While entered the entrys may change between now and the race. --Falcadore (talk) 10:33, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OOps sorry if I was unclear, but I meant the additions to the drivers pages rather than the team race tyres. Apologies if there was misunderstanding. --Falcadore (talk) 10:39, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you starting this again if the race still has not happened? IIIVIX (Talk) 19:10, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know why you blanked the page, but I reverted the contents since what was produced after your blanking was completely incoherent, mal-formated garbage. I'm not really big on auto sports, so I don't know if the info posted in July is out of date or not. I hope you won't blank the page again without reason. If you don't think the 2009 Formula Le Mans Cup season deserves its own page, then please follow the normal deletion procedures. Otherwise, you're just degrading the quality of the info presented on Wikipedia (take a look at what the page looked like before my edit).--Subversive Sound (talk) 01:31, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Danny 93! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 329 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

If coverage of the article is only two sentences of text then this article is an unneccesary duplication of information already available at the 2010 British Touring Car season page, and the Thruxton round page shuld be deleted. --Falcadore (talk) 00:36, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Zacchia

[edit]

Hi Danny. Just so that we can spare the admins some extra work with a history merge, would you mind doing the following three simple steps? Step one, request deletion of the article Steve Zacchia (by placing {{db-author}}) at the top of the page. Step two, wait for a little while until the page is actually deleted. Step 3, go back to User:Danny 93/Sandbox2 and move it to Steve Zacchia. Sorry for the hassle. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 01:18, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Liverpool F.C. wiki

[edit]

Hello, I am the lead sysop on the Liverpool F.C. wiki. It is a wiki dedicated solely to Liverpool F.C.. We aim to make the ultimate database for the club we all love. Since adopting the incredibly inactive wiki about a month ago we have greatly increased the article count and modernized it from it's previous state. The problem is there are not many active members on the site and we need more for the site to properly grow. It is well organized and on it's way to be a great site we just need more editors to expand. It is based on Wikia's network of wikis. Like Wikipedia it is free to use and the editing process is exactly the same. If you know how to edit Wikipedia you will know how to edit the Liverpool F.C. wiki. Now for the question you may be asking yourself. Why edit there? Wikipedia has articles on Liverpool. This is true. At the Liverpool wiki it is all about Liverpool. We allow editors to edit anything about Liverpool no matter how trivial. We allow edits on reserve and academy players, and even things as trivial as the fitness coaches for the year 2011. We also do not lock pages to registered users. That means if you have something to say about Steven Gerrard you can click edit and not view source and actually write something. I would love for you to come by and check the wiki out. Feel free to edit any page. Every time you click edit your ARE helping this wiki grow. Thanks for taking the time to read this! http://liverpoolfc.wikia.com/wiki/Liverpool_FC_Wiki --Coffeeclub213 (talk) 02:46, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Le Mans Prototype Technical

[edit]

Article currently reads LMP2 - intended especially for privateers: minimum weight of 900 kg (1984 lb) or 920 kg (2028 lb) for 2010 cars in 2011 configuration. Only production-based engines are allowed in LMP1 with diesel engines banned (my emphasis) following this edit. Is that really what you meant to say? Andrewa (talk) 06:44, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I actually meant LMP2, that was just a typo, it is fixed now. Thanks for letting me know.--Danny 93 (talk) 10:44, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I was guessing. Thanks for fixing it, it's not my field of expertise obviously. Andrewa (talk) 18:12, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WRC results tables

[edit]

Hey. I think the addition of Power Stage results to the driver tables should be discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject World Rally. They make the tables very crowded for the top drivers and it seems unnecessary to repeat this information from the season article(s). There were "power stages" in the 1990s as well and these are not currently mentioned in the relevant tables. In my opinion, these single-stage results just don't have the lasting importance to justify the clutter (in biographies). Prolog (talk) 15:06, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have noticed you made a small mistake in the results tables. With rally Deutchland, it is still Germany, so the abbreviation is "GER" not "DEU". Pelmeen10 (talk) 13:54, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited 2012 FIA GT1 Nogaro round, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Exim Bank Team China (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). LM drivers template

[edit]

Your work in adding these charts to numerous driver pages is appreciated, but for the longest time something has bugged me about them. The layout of the information seems a bit odd, and in fact I would go so far as to say backwards. The first key point I think is that the tire of the car used is one of the first real bits of information presented from a L-R reading format, and I just cannot understand the thought process behind this. Surely the team he drove for, the car he drove in, or the co-drivers he drove with are are more important than the tires that were on the car?

To be quite honest I think the chart has too much information for a review of a driver's career. A simple look at Ryan Dalziel shows someone who has various driver charts, none of which are as specific on chassis and engines as the LM chart. Tires are also not something that is important to the career review. These specifics can be found by the reader linking to the specific Le Mans article. I'd even go so far as to say that the ACO shorthand for cars should be used (chassis name-engine manufacturer) to eliminate unnecessary information.

To me this is a much better, simplified chart that presents information in a much better layout in terms of hierarchy of information:

Year Team Co-Drivers Car Class Pos. Class
Pos.
2010 United States Jaguar RSR United States Paul Gentilozzi
Belgium Marc Goossens
Jaguar XKR GT2 GT2 DNF DNF
2012 United States Starworks Motorsport Venezuela Enzo Potolicchio
United Kingdom Tom Kimber-Smith
HPD ARX-03a-Honda LMP2 7th 1st

I realize it would be a daunting task to change the charts you have already done to this new style, but I feel this is a worthwhile change. Your feedback is appreciated. The359 (Talk) 21:04, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I appreciate your input on the LM record template. I did not realise that the most important info would go on the left, hence the tyres were first on the template. Your version of the template is more simple and easy to read although I would add the amount of laps the drivers completed to give the viewer an idea of how good or bad the driver did in comparison to other years. Apart from that it would be a more suitable template than my previous one. Thank you for your input.--Danny 93 (talk) 11:55, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Footballers' stats

[edit]

Hi, thanks for updating player stats on the bios of Liverpool players. Just a quick question; when you're updating the career stats tables, could you also update the infoboxes located at the top of each page, so each are up to date and stay in sync? Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 15:47, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree on what Matty said, and another quick question: What's the point in updating the player stats one hour before the match even starts? You should atleast wait until they actually appeared on the field, and the whistle is blown. Cheers, Mentoz86 (talk) 14:27, 17 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Danny Ward (Welsh footballer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Never played in a fully pro league, fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Le Mans results tables

[edit]

Hi Danny 93. I have noticed you have been updating the Le Mans results tables for numerous drivers and was wondering why you are specifying a fixed width of 600px for the results tables? Most (all?) other race results tables don't specify a table width and just let the browser decide how wide the table needs to be. The fixed width of 600px causes unnecessary wrapping in the "Team" and "Co-Drivers" columns for numerous drivers - see Shinji Nakano as an example. Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 01:19, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. The 600px width was a suggestion by the User The359 when he messaged me about a more simple Le Mans results template. I shall address the fixed width issue right away as I have noticed on various templates that is does cram up the table unnecessarily. Thanks for your input.--Danny 93 (talk) 12:51, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. Among your formatting changes, you have accidentally removed the ending quotes from style="..." that are, unlike the semicolons in these cases, required for CSS style to work. As a result, the font-size property is no longer working on a large number of articles. Prolog (talk) 21:58, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think these are all fixed now. Prolog (talk) 23:15, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Conor Coady, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SudoGhost 16:23, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Liverpool stats updates

[edit]

Hi, perhaps you didn't see the message above I sent you a few weeks ago, but would you mind updating the infoboxes on Liverpool player articles in addition to the career stats tables? I think only the career stats tables being updated may be confusing a few editors who are also updating the stats, like at Daniel Sturridge and José Enrique Sánchez today where some erroneous edits were made. Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Liverpool F.C., but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:22, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Liverpool stats

[edit]

Hi there. Why did you change some Liverpool-players' stats to two league-matches in 2013-14? Last time I checked, they've only played 1 match this season. Mentoz86 (talk) 15:59, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you seem to be updating stats before the matches have started. Please don't do that. Just because the team sheet comes out is no guarantee that the player will start, or even that the match will. I've reverted you. GedUK  16:26, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on UFC Fighter Rankings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.ufc.ca/rankings/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". — Diannaa (talk) 02:08, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article 2006 Rally of Turkey has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Tagged uncited for many years and mostly numbers - only a little text. I cannot see the first external link as it does not allow adblockers. The second external link does not seem to have all the numbers in the article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
