DYK for Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven
[edit]On 20 January 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven, which you recently nominated. The fact was ... that Efrim Menuck, the guitarist of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, likened the composition of Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven to film editing? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Draftifying
[edit]Hi there LunaEclipse, when you move an article to draftspace, remember to add a draft template. I use the Move to Draft script at User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft which is rather handy. When you restore a draft that has been declined and then moved to mainspace anyway, the simplest thing to do is to just copy the decline template and comments from the history and add them. That keeps the review history visible. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 08:33, 21 January 2025 (UTC)

2025 opened with trumpet fanfares that first sounded OTD in 1725 (as the Main page had). Today I had a composer (trumpeter, conductor) on the main page who worked closely with another who just became GA, - small world! GT
[edit]Hi! You recently gave me the idea to nominate Imaginal Disk for GT. I finished these two drafts of the other singles, Draft:Tunnel Vision (Magdalena Bay song) and Draft:That's My Floor, but I'm not sure about their notability. They don't have the same coverage as the previous two singles. What do you think? CatchMe (talk · contribs) 20:44, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi there, I see you declined this draft because Issues brought up by prior reviewers have not been addressed.
Can you make sure to check the edit history of a draft before you use this specific phrase? In this case, the submitter had made changes in response to the previous review, so being told they haven't addressed the issues is likely to be confusing and demotivating. I think what you mean by this is that you still see some problematic references, which is of course fine to say (I agree, though I'm not sure I'd have declined it). Keep in mind also that the "reliable sources" decline is supposed to be used only when you're pretty sure the subject is notable and your only hesitation is that the sources are dodgy (use the notability one otherwise). Cheers and thanks for reviewing! -- asilvering (talk) 03:44, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi there. Thank you for for reviewing the draft. I noticed that you rejected the draft twice at the same time. Could you please check if that was an error, and if you could remove the duplicate comment. Thanks again. Coolduckbird (talk) 16:54, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
Hello! I appreciate you reviewing my draft about Straw Hat Goofy. I went through the sources and found additional ones, making sure all the sources are highlighted green on the Perennial Sources page you linked in your comment. There are now 13 total sources, 11 of which are highlighted green and span several years, sources, and topics. A few are specifically about Green and several others mention him in major ways, dedicating anywhere from a paragraph to half the article to being about him. The other two sources are Business Insider, which is only being used for his birth year and the name of his old advertising agency, and a video of his which is only being used for his date of birth. I believe this is enough to satisfy SIGCOV. I would appreciate it if you could look at the sources I added and let me know if there is still something I can do to improve the article before resubmitting. He is notable within MovieTok circles enough to repeatedly get coverage and be mentioned in secondary sources that are talking about MovieTok (including ones where the mention is too minor to cite him, but he is seemingly the go-to example of a MovieTokker), so I do believe he should have a page covering him. - You do not need to be an admin to introduce someone to a contentious topic.
- The notice clearly says This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
- You are not extended-confirmed (30 days of activity + 500 edits). Please stray away from editing the Palestine/Israel topic until then.
- Your edit to Nerdeen Kiswani was related to I/P, as the subject is a pro-Palestine activist. Me informing you of the topic was in good faith, and is not vandalism or disruptive editing.
Please undo edit
[edit]On the Wiki page of Judge Eugene R. Sullivan your edit removed the caption that the image of the Judge is hanging in the U.S. courthouse. This caption is important because the image is of a painted portrait not a digital photo of the Judge. Without this caption some readers may wonder the source of the image and having a portrait hanging in a federal courthouse is a distinction that not all judges receive. Please undo. Thank you. Regarding the Wikipedia:Sandbox
[edit]Hello User:LunaEclipse,
Although I'm not an admin, I saw you once file a protection request for Wikipedia:Sandbox (which has now been inadvertently removed due to an edit conflict by a bot soon after). I then noticed that you had not only been reverting users for using the sandbox, but also warning them. Well, I'd like to inform you that the sandbox is the page that editors are supposed to make test edits in and experiment with Wikipedia editing tools. It even says in that warning notice you posted, "If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox." I strongly advise you to leave sandbox edits alone (a bot will automatically clean up the sandbox later), and definitely don't warn editors for making tests in the sandbox - it's a bit like honking and throwing insults at a learning car driver for making a small mistake. Admins definitely will not protect the sandbox nor block users for doing experimentational edits there.
The only kind of edits that aren't allowed in the sandbox, as it says in the header at the top, are: "promotional, copyrighted, offensive, or libellous content". That's it. Hope that makes sense.

New page reviewer granted
[edit]
Hi LunaEclipse, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! Elli (talk | contribs) 18:58, 10 February 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of List of Cancelled PC games
[edit]Hello LunaEclipse,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged List of Cancelled PC games for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.
If you don't want List of Cancelled PC games to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
